CHANGES TO OUR BILLING POLICY Dear Patients, Hallets Medical Services has commenced Mixed Billing (out-of-pocket fees may apply - see below) applicable to all consultations, and procedures effective May 1st 2023 (01/05/2023). Health Care, and Pension Concession Card holders continue to be fully bulk-billed. Consultations for children under the age of 16 years with valid Medicare details are bulk-billed. Private billing has been necessitated by our need to continue to provide quality services. Unfortunately, the prevailing Medicare rebates are inadequate for the clinic to sustain the quality of services due to inflation pressures. Hallets Medical Services will endeavour to keep out of pocket costs to a minimum without compromising on patient care. |
IMPORTANT CLINIC UPDATE| CANCELLATION POLICY [1 SEPTEMBER 2022, forward] A CANCELLATION FEE will apply if notice of cancellation is not given at least 3 hours before the scheduled appointment time, equivalent to a standard consultation ($40.00). First 3 Hours are of the day are exempt due to insufficient time. This measure has been introduced as a response to significant numbers of abandoned appointments, inconveniencing other patients who also require appointments on the day. |  |
