Who we are

We are located at 870 Old Calder Highway Keilor, a location with ease access to private and public transport as a bus stop is right at the clinic’s doorstep.

Hallets Medical Services is a new Medical Clinic which opened its doors to the public on 1 June 2019.

We are motivated by our desire to offer medical services to the Community in and around Keilor and surrounding suburbs. We believe there is always a need to expand accessibility for medical services in Keilor to alleviate the prevailing under supply of medical services.

This clinic plans to expand the services by opening long hours as well as offering other services which we feel the community will benefit from.

Learn More About Our Services

Fees

Our fee policy is guided by our belief that health services should be accessible to all.

Unfortunately, the prevailing Medicare rebates are inadequate for the clinic to sustain the quality of services due to inflation pressures. Therefore Private Billing has commenced as of MAY 1st 2023 (some exceptions apply).

Hallets Medical Services will endeavour to keep out of pocket costs to a minimum without compromising on patient care. For more information, please see the 'Clinic Updates' page.

The following consults cannot be bulk billed: TAC, Worker’s compensation (work cover), evaluation of health for employment, sporting, fitness to drive, travel health advice, among others. Please check with the clinic if you are not sure.

We are proud to have a well-stocked and equipped treatment facility. Unfortunately, Medicare rebates for many procedures fall short of the cost of materials and equipment needed to keep our treatment room properly stocked. As such private billing will apply for some procedures. Please check with your doctor or nurse the cost of your procedure. The full procedure fee must be paid on the day, you will be provided with a Tax Invoice receipt following your appointment. Some procedure fees are claimable for a Medicare Rebate via Medicare Australia. Speak with reception for further information.

Privacy Policy

YOUR PRIVACY IS ON OUR HEART.

We uncompromisingly respect the privacy of your health.  Your health information is safe as the following policies (among others) are in place to protect your information.

Your medical treatments, test reports, referrals etc. will be discussed while you are attending a consultation with a doctor or another health practitioner. Your medical information cannot be discussed over the phone except in rare exceptional circumstances.

Information will be given to third parties upon your signed authorisation of such a transfer of information.

There are other safety systems in place to protect unwarranted access to your health records.

AGAPAL Accredited

This general practice is AGPAL accredited - what does this mean?

Being accredited means that our general practice is committed to a comprehensive program which involves:

  • Engaging our whole practice team to review our practice’s systems and processes

  • Opening our practice doors to allow a team of independent surveyors to assess how our practice operates

  • Assessment of our practice, and achievement of the nationally recognised Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (RACGP) Standards for general practices, that focus on health care quality and patient safety.
